American Near East Refugee Aid American Near East Refugee Aid works to improve communities in the West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon and Jordan. Founded in 1968 to assist displaced Palestinians after the Arab-Israeli War, the group has grown to provide education scholarships, emergency relief and support to health facilities in the Middle East. ANERA's direct support allows it to help local institutions become effective and self-sufficient.
