Best Friends Animal Sanctuary
Best Friends is the largest "no-kill" sanctuary for abused and abandoned animals in the United States. Through education, adoption and spay/neuter programs, the organization works to ensure that all animals have a safe, caring home.
Best Friends, founded in the early 1980s, is located on a 350-acre sanctuary in southern Utah and houses about 1,800 animals. The organization prints a bi-monthly publication, Best Friends Magazine, which features tips on developing healthy pet relationships and interviews with famous pet lovers. No More Homeless Pets, part of the Best Friends Network, is a collaborative grassroots effort with animal welfare organizations that helps animals in local communities.
