National Federation of the Blind
By offering advocacy, education, research, technology and programs, the National Federation of the Blind encourages independence and self-confidence for blind people. The NFB also operates the Jernigan Institute, a research and training center for the blind, led by the blind. The organizations goal is to completely integrate the blind into society and ensure they are given the same opportunities as the sighted.
