Catholic Charities USA
A network of private, independent social service agencies, Catholic Charities USA works to reduce poverty, support families and empower communities. The services provided vary at each community agency and include child care, counseling, refugee resettlement and adoption. Catholic Charities also provides emergency services such as soup kitchens, temporary shelter and clothing assistance. The organization also lobbies Congress on issues such as Social Security, mental health services and immigration.
