Make-A-Wish Foundation
The Make-A-Wish Foundation was established in 1980 to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses in an effort to promote hope, strength and joy in the child and enrich the human spirit. Since its founding, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has become the largest wish-granting organization in the world, with 81 chapters in the United States and its territories, and 22 international affiliates on five continents.
Make-A-Wish makes children's dreams come true through the help of corporate partners like The Walt Disney Company and American Airlines, but also relies on donations of airline miles and hotel & loyalty points from individuals.
