Save the Children
Save the Children is an independent organization and part of the International Save the Children Alliance, which boasts 28 nationwide versions operating in over 110 countries. The organization was influenced by the England Save the Children Fund, founded in 1919 to care for young Holocaust survivors in Vienna. Since John Voris founded the U.S. version in 1932, the Save the Children programs have impacted the lives of over 37 million children and 24 million adults. The organization provides community building in the developing world, child sponsorship, emergency and crisis relief, along with literacy and nutrition problems in the U.S.
